Treat yourself with the ultimate holiday expereience, by staying in a old Italian casa, in the middle of the olive grove in the mauntains, with its own spring water to drink directly from the tap. Casa VP is completely new restored - finished in 2020, with its own pool, new bathrooms, new kitchen and new decor. The house is located in the Tuscany region Pistoria, in the mountains Val di Nievole, which is right between of Lucca and the capital Pistoia; and approx 7 km from Italy´s famous spa town Montecatini Terme - also know for their healing waters.
Casa VP is originally an pld concierge home belonging to Vinzzachia, a grand old "casa di campagna" that produces one of the world´s "perhaps" best olive oils and has its own well / source of fantastic drinking water. You bathe in the clear spring water, both in the pool and in the shower, as it flows from all taps in the area, which means you can drink the wather. The main house dates from 1880, where the caretaker´s home was added later.
The house is located on a sunny spot, completely undisturbed on a hillside, in the most amazing nature. Often you will see the eagle hovering over your head, or hear a fallow dear calling. If you are lucky, you will see the wild boars running over the unpaved road you are driving on to get to the house. Further up the mountain is a beautiful small mountain town Cozzile, where you in the evening can look up at their beautiful illuminated church tower. In addition to the area being know as one of italy´s best spas with hot springs, healing water - and their amazing olive oil - it is also know as an exquisite cycling area, where many world cycling stars train and live.
The location of Casa VP makes it extremely suitable as a base for several interesting trips, both walks, bike rides and car trips to for example Florence, Pistoria or Lucca. Italy is known for its simple, tasty food, and in the casa you will find our recommendations for what we think are the area´s best local restaurants.
The location of the house in the mountains means that you have it all right on your doorstep if you are going out cycling or going for walks on the many routes that exist in the area, and visiting the surrounding mountains towns, sush as Buggiano Castello or Mazza e Cozzile. You can even go horseback riding in the area or pratice yoga, at a place further down the mountain.
If you want to play golf, Montecatini terme also has its own 18-hole golf course, as well as tennis courts, padel courts and racecourses. Private lessons in padel can be arranged if necessary. Do you enjoy shopping, the possibilities are many, as there are a number of exclusive shops in Montecatini Terme. You can also take a ride with the world´s oldest cable car from 1898, which departs from Montecatini Terme to the medieval town of Montecatini Alto, where in addition to the formidable views of Montecatini and the entire Valdinievole vally, there are wonderful places to eat and a lot of history. Anetone skiing place is located 45 km from the house, and to the sea - for example, the exclusive seaside resort of Forte dei Marmi, is less than an hour´s drive.
The house, which is on two levels, is for one to a maximum of six people and contains two rooms with double beds. There are two bathrooms with showers and toilets, a living room with woodburning stove and sofabed, so there is the possibility of an extre bed for two more people (this must be arranged together with booking). There is a beautiful kitchen-dining room with open fireplace, dining area for six people, and all in equipment regarding tokitchen intensils, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, induction hob and oven. In connection with the kitchen-dining room is an absolutely fantastic glasswall section, with the possibility of opening a large part of the glass. there are beautiful outdoor areas with lots of sun, garden furniture, sun loungers, barbecue and private pool of 3 x 5 meters, as well as private free parking. There are coolong / heating tabs throughout the house, making it usable at all times of the year. The house has free wifi. Be aware that the internet in Italy is more unstable than in Denmark and the thick stone walls make the connection weaker. Upper floor contains: entrance hall with access to outdoor area, living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom with toilet. Lower floor contains: large kitchen family room with direct access to the terrace, as well as bathroom with toilet.
Casa VP is a state-of-the-art home where we have retained the original charming expression. We have done this by, among other things, only using local Italian professionals for our renovation project. Casa VP is what we have always looked for and appreciated when renting holiday homes. Therefore, you will find that cleaning and functionality are paramount, and you will never arrive at a dishwasher that needs salt or rinse aid, and knives that connot cut, or kitchen utensils that are missing so that you can prepare a simple meal. Just like you sleep in specially designed beds of high quality and with delicious clean bedding, where you can always get a duvet - regardless of the season - if you ask for it when ordering.
Casa VP is easy to rent as there is no one between landlords - we are the owners.
